Susan Bauman, CISR, CPIW, CAS, CIC, Certified PPACA Professional, is President of Western Risk Insurance. Her presentation to the Financial Club will focus on the Affordable Care Act and its impact on Medicare and seniors.
She is a graduate of University of Nevada, Las Vegas and has two decades’ professional experience with expertise in marketing and sales. Bauman has earned the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW), Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations. She recently received the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) certification through the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). She has been focusing on Property/Casualty for the past 8 years and has been developing the Life & Health division for the past four years.
Bauman has received many awards and accolades for her work in the industry and community. Bauman served as president for the Independent Insurance Agents of Southern Nevada Association and is a past president of the Community Associations Institute/Nevada chapter, for which she has chaired numerous committees. She is a Platinum Member Representative, Events Committee Chairperson and Board of Director for the Nevada State Apartment Association. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Nevada Independent Insurance Agents.
She served as Nevada Council Director, Scholarship Committee Chairperson and as a Board of Director for the Las Vegas Insurance Professionals (NAIW), and is active with the Institute of Real Estate Managers and Certified Commercial Investment Managers Association.
Her numerous awards include being recognized as the Community Associations Institute’s Committee Member of the Year, Rising Star Member, IREM Chairperson of the Year, committee person of the year and Hall of Fame Inductee, Nevada State Apartment Association, Business Partner of the Year, Community Associations Institute/Nevada chapter and Industry Partner of the year, Institute of Real Estate Managers.
