Anthony A. Marnell, III is President and minority owner of the M Resort.
Anthony is the son of casino-building pioneer Tony Marnell II, who built, owned and operated the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino prior to its acquisition by Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. in 1999. Under the direction of his father, Anthony learned the details of the casino business by holding various line level positions, progressing to several executive level positions.
Anthony left Harrah’s in 1999 to start the software company TRIRIGA, a leader in integrated workplace management software, which was acquired by IBM in 2011. Anthony was also Owner and Executive of Siren Gaming, LLC, an Indian gaming company, Valley View Casino located near San Diego, CA as well as serving as a member of the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians Executive Committee.
Anthony returned to the gaming industry with the M Resort Spa Casino, which opened in March of 2009. That year, Anthony was named one of Southern Nevada’s “50 Most Influential” by In Business Las Vegas. Anthony is also the C.E.O. and sole owner of Marnell Gaming Management, LLC, which currently owns and operates the Colorado Belle and Edgewater Casino Resorts in Laughlin, NV.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Anthony attended the University of Arizona on a baseball scholarship while majoring in Wildlife Biology and Fisheries Science until he was offered a contract with the San Diego Padres. After his two-year stint with the Padres, he returned to Las Vegas and graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Administration in 1998.
