The speaker for our February 6 meeting is JEFFREY C. BOYCE, J.D., LL.M.
Mr. Boyce's topic will be WILLS AND TRUSTS, updating us on recent changes in the rules and regulations affecting these important documents. The meeting will begin at 7:00pm in the Delaware Room at Anthem Center. Jeff received his undergraduate degree at Utah State University, magna cum laude, in 1993. Mr. Boyce received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Brigham Young University, cum laude, in 1996, and a Master of Law in Taxation (LL.M.) from New York University School of Law in 1997. He has received an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest professional rating for an attorney. Mr. Boyce focuses his law practice in the areas of trusts, estates, business planning and taxation. In addition to his law practice, his prior work experience includes being a Vice President and Regional Trust Manager for Wells Fargo Bank, working for the Internal Revenue Service and for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee. Mr. Boyce is licensed to practice in Nevada and Utah, and has been admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Clark County Bar Association, the State Bar of Nevada, the State Bar of Utah and the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council. Mr. Boyce has worked with numerous charities or nonprofit organizations in southern Nevada. Currently, he is a member of the Planned Giving Committee for Vegas PBS. In 1999, Mr. Boyce received the Charitable Planner of the Year Award from the University of Nevada Las Vegas Foundation.
