Isaac Frankel is a bond expert with Merrill-Lynch. He will talk to us about bond investing, especially in retirement, and in light of the recent increase of the federal funds rate by the Federal Reserve Board.
As Mr. Frankel describes his background:
Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, I had more than 25 years of experience as a fixed income portfolio manager for corporate and union pension plans, endowments, mutual funds, insurance companies, and wealthy individuals. I joined Merrill Lynch in 2011, the same year that I passed the two-day CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ examination. I am now a CFP® certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. I have a bachelors degree in engineering and computer science from Princeton University and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. I am a member of the Estate Planning Council of Bergen County, an adjunct instructor of Economics and Finance at Fairleigh Dickinson University and I have volunteered for many years as an income tax preparer at The Food Bank of New York. My wife, Vicky, and I live in Englewood, NJ where she teaches English at The Dwight-Englewood School. Our three daughters live in Boston and New York City.
