Bob Beers, Las Vegas City Councilman

Our speaker for October 10 will be Bob Beers, Las Vegas City Councilman and statewide political figure. Councilman Beers is a fiscal conservative with six years in the Nevada State Assembly and four years in the Nevada Senate. As a City Councilman, Beers serves on the Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition, Southern Nevada Health District Board, Oversight Panel for School Facilities, and the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Repository Committee. Beers is a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified fraud examiner (CFE), so he understands budgets and how governments should use them to govern their activities.
