Ira Adler retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in early 2013 after a 30 year career. During his tenure at the New York Fed, Ira's career was spent primarily in 2 key policy areas: Bank Supervision which is responsible for the oversight of the largest bank's in the United States (including US branches of foreign banks) and in the Research Group where economic research is conducted to inform monetary policy decisions. His service in Bank Supervision included important roles during the financial crisis in 2007 - 2009. Ira's expertise includes risk management, payment systems, operational risk, and capital markets. He represented the Federal Reserve in several international supervisory groups and worked closely with many foreign central banks to coordinate on supervisory issues (including the Basel accords on bank capital). As an Officer in the Research Group, Ira managed staff responsible for the performance of economic research and analysis of economic data that influenced the Fed Open Market Committee. Ira and his wife (Willis) moved to Sun City Anthem in July of 2013 and are both active in many clubs.
